Equinoctial cycle
The
Great year,
or Equinoctial cycle corresponds to a complete revolution of the
equinoxes around the ecliptic. Its length is about 25,700 years, and
cannot be determined precisely as the
precession speed is variable.
Galactic year
The
Galactic year is the time it takes Earth's
solar system to revolve once around the
galactic center. It comprises roughly 230 million Earth years.
